• Louvers are too tight or loose.
  • All of the shutter brands carried by ABS have "tension adjustment screws" located on each panel.  Open the panels and look for the holes along the edge of each panel.  Inside is a Phillips screw which may be tightened or loosened depending on the situation.  These are located at set intervals up and down each panel.  It is best to have the tension from screw to screw as uniform as possible.

Below are more serious problems that may arise:

• Panels wont stay shut.
• Staples have pulled out of the louver and/or control bar.
• The paint is peeling off.
• The shutters are warping.
• We accidentally damaged our shutters.
